Apartment Description
This beautiful 3 bedroom apartment is located in the Castello district, a friendly and lively neighbourhood which surrounds San Giorgio dei Greci church and is just a short walk to Piazza San Marco.
The apartment is located in a 16th Century Venetian Palazzo. Its history goes back to the 1550s, when a local wealthy fami-ly of Greek merchants had it built with the help of the alleged architect- Jacopo Sansovino, a follower of Michelangelo.
Throughout the 18th century the house was embellished with beautiful stucco and paintings that have survived for your enjoyment today.
The home has been restored by the current owners with the greatest care to preserve its antiquities while enhancing your comfort with all modern conveniences.
This 300 sqmt home has two bedrooms that can be either arranged as queen or two twin beds, and the third bedroom with queen bed. The three bedrooms all have access to their own private bathrooms.
The property is spread over two floors. Upon entering the apartment you will find the grand entrance and “salotto” or li-ving area, with large dining table and balcony on both ends, with both canal and garden view. On the same floor you will find the kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge, dishwasher and coffee maker, the library with canal and lagoon views, and two bedrooms: the master suite with fresco ceiling, private full bath and air conditioning, and the second bedroom with garden view and air conditioning, including the bathroom with standing enclosed shower.
On the mezzanine level you will find the remaining bedroom with airconditioning and garden view. This bedroom shares the bathroom with the fourth single bedroom (which is normally not open to guests, but can be used exceptionally in the presence of a child).
The palazzo also has a private garden where the clients can enjoy some downtime after a full day of sightseeing.
